In the space of 7 days in mid-2020, Mr Trump tear-gassed some protesters outside the White House so he could saunter across the road to a church for a photo op, having 'inspected' a bunker beneath the building, declared Ivanka and Fox News to be the ideal points of reference for reliable Covid information, and exhorted his followers to vote early if they were elderly (and therefore especially vulnerable to the disease). Oh and to ignore the advice of state governors who were recommending social distancing and mask-wearing.
